The initial visit typically takes 1½-2 hours but may take more or less time depending on your history and tests which might be ordered by the doctor.

Front desk Check-In: When you initially arrive, you will be asked to provide picture identification along with your health insurance card. There are several forms which need to be filled out including personal information, HIPPA privacy along with a few others.

Nurse Check-In: After the registration process is completed, the nursing staff will bring you into an examination room where they will check basic vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight) and then take a brief personal allergy survey.

Doctor Check-In: After the nurse assessment, the doctor will come in and take a detailed history, perform relevant physical examination and order any appropriate diagnostic tests which may include allergy skin testing, breathing test, lab work or x-rays. The allergy skin and breathing tests are performed directly in our office. If lab work or x-rays are necessary, they are typically done externally after your appointment has been completed. After all the testing is complete, the doctor will review the results and outline an appropriate treatment plan.

Doctor Attar begins with understanding your medical condition, which helps us manage it effectively until a permanent treatment is completed, all the while ensuring prevention of complications. Should your situation require any adjustment to your diet, activity levels, or medications, he will promptly go over these with you. Some conditions, like high blood pressure, can be managed easily with proper adherence to doctor's advice, while others, like diabetes, can be a little more complex.  We encourage you to discuss all your concerns with Dr. Attar during your visit.
